Annual Gynecological Check-Ups

A Fundamental Step for Early Diagnosis and Safe Monitoring in Women’s Health

One of the most effective ways to protect women’s health is to undergo a gynecological check-up at least once a year. These visits are not only for evaluating existing symptoms, but also for detecting potential issues that may not yet show any signs.

Why Are They Important?

Certain gynecological conditions—especially those related to the uterus, ovaries, and cervix—can progress silently in their early stages. Annual check-ups allow for early detection and timely intervention when needed.

Monitoring hormonal balance, investigating menstrual irregularities, and offering lifestyle guidance tailored to the patient’s age and health phase are also essential components of these visits.

What to Expect During the Exam

At our clinic, annual gynecological evaluations are designed based on your age and individual needs. A typical check-up may include:

  • Pelvic exam and ultrasound imaging: The structure of the uterus, ovaries, and endometrium is examined in detail.
  • Menstrual and hormonal assessment: If necessary, hormone levels such as estrogen, progesterone, AMH, thyroid hormones, and prolactin are measured.
  • Pap smear and HPV DNA testing: Cervical cancer screenings are conducted at regular intervals, especially for women over 21.
  • Personalized follow-up recommendations based on age: Since health risks differ before and after menopause, evaluations are made accordingly.

Screening Frequency by Age

  • Ages 21–29: Pap smear every 3 years, annual physical exam
  • Ages 30–65: Pap smear + HPV test every 5 years, annual physical exam
  • After age 65: Personalized plans based on previous test results
  • During menopause: Monitoring includes bone health, hormone balance, and cancer screenings

Regular gynecological check-ups are essential not just for today, but for protecting your long-term health, identifying risks early, and maintaining your quality of life.
